00:48 |
To access this feature open the screenshot tool; press the Tab Key to capture a scrolling screenshot.
00:55 |
You can always press tab again to go back to the regular screenshot tool. Click a window once to capture the entire window or click and drag to select your entire screen, or a portion of your screen.
01:07 |
After you select an area a red and white checkered box is displayed. Just begin scrolling to capture the content within this box. You can scroll vertically or horizontally but you should not attempt to do both while capturing one screenshot as this will cause errors in your screenshot images.
01:27 |
When you're finished click done. The application imports the image into the project manager where it is available from the images tab.

Did you know you can use ScreenPal for formative assessment, too? Keep watching to learn how to add multiple choice, true-false, short-answer, polls, and ratings to your video projects.
02:33 |
Engage your students or audience with interactive questions to measure their understanding and gather insights.
02:39 |
In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create a quiz and add questions to it.
02:43 |
To create a new quiz, login to your ScreenPal account from our website. Go to your Content Library. Click the menu icon located on a video thumbnail and then click create quiz.
02:56 |
You also have the option to create a quiz from the interaction tab in video details; or from the quizzes page, which you can get to by clicking quizzes on the left navigation bar.
03:08 |
By default the quiz title is the same as your videos title you can change it if needed. After creating your quiz, you'll land on the edit quiz tab.
03:20 |
From here add and edit your quiz questions. To add your first question, click on the video timeline where you want your question to appear, then click the plus button.
03:29 |
The add question menu will be displayed. In the drop-down list, you can select a question type to add to your quiz. These include multiple choice, true-false, short answer, poll or rating questions. You can mix these questions types within a quiz. Let's start with a multiple choice question.
03:49 |
You will see the question is displayed based on where you would position the play head on the video preview timeline. This time can be adjusted by entering a specific time into the text box here; or selecting one of these options to show the question at the start or end of the video.
04:06 |
Enter your question in the text box and then add potential answers here. Another empty text box will always be available for the next potential answer, but will be ignored if left empty.
04:16 |
After you enter your question and answer choices, you can select the correct answer. Multiple correct answers are supported, but please note that the person taking the quiz must select all correct answers to get credit.
04:29 |
You can also adjust question scores later in the results area to provide partial credit. There are several configuration options for multiple choice questions. You can add a 'none of the above' answer; choose to randomize the answers for each quiz taker; and choose to provide feedback for questions based on a correct or incorrect answer.
04:51 |
Click save to add the question to your quiz.
04:55 |
Next, we'll add a true-false question. Position the play head on the preview timeline and click the plus button.
05:03 |
Select the true-false question type.
05:06 |
Enter the question and select the right answer by clicking the check mark button. You can choose to add feedback on a true-false question as well.
05:13 |
Multiple choice and true-false questions will be graded automatically but you can adjust the score after the quiz answers have been submitted.
05:21 |
This can be useful for multiple answer questions where you want to give partial credit. Next we'll add a short answer question.
05:29 |
These questions allow the quiz taker to enter their answer in a text box. Enter your question here. You have the option to specify a minimum and maximum length for the answer.
05:40 |
Respondents won't be able to submit their answers until they have met these requirements.
05:47 |
Please note that short answer questions will not be graded automatically. You can grade the question manually after reviewing the answer.
05:55 |
Polls and ratings can be used as part of a quiz for students or as a way to measure the opinions of your audience. A poll is great at gathering qualitative and quantitative data from your audience. Ratings enable you to determine how viewers perceive a video or subject.
06:12 |
For a poll, enter your question and then a list of possible answers. Only one answer can be selected by the respondent. Poll question options include adding other as an answer; allowing the viewer to skip the poll question; and randomizing the order of answers presented.
06:28 |
You also have the option to show or hide the poll results for respondents when they answer the poll questions. Add a rating question to a video to determine your audience's perception of the topic or video.
06:41 |
You can select a scale up to 10 for your rating, as well as the type of rating you want to present. Rating types include star, heart, and smiley.
06:50 |
Make the rating question optional by clicking this checkbox. Allow the respondent to add comments by clicking here. If you want to ensure that your viewers are watching your entire video, we recommend including a question on the timeline near, or at the end, of your video.
07:07 |
Preview the quiz by clicking the preview button. Answers you provide in the preview will not be recorded in the quiz results.
07:15 |
Now that you have created your quiz, learn how to share it to respondents and set options for how you want the quiz presented. Our sharing a quiz tutorial is available via this link.
