Rally to Save Utica 2-17-23 (with captions)

On Friday, February 17, 2023 there was a Rally to Save Utica! at Utica University from 8:30am-12:30pm to coincide with the Utica University Board of Trustees who were meeting on campus to vote on whether or not to eliminate 15 majors, including Chemistry, Physics (BA), Geoscience, Philosophy, Spanish, International Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Healthcare Management, Nutrition, and Sociology & Anthropology. They also voted on whether or modify 8 more majors. This event was open to everyone. It was a chance for faculty, students, staff, alumni and members of the larger community to come together and support one another. The event took place at Duffy Plaza (outside Boehlert Hall) with marches and speeches throughout the morning. This video is a summary of the 4-hour event with clips from all of the speakers.
