You do not need to have a green screen to use a virtual background image in your webcam recording. The video background remover has an AI (artificial intelligence) algorithm that will automatically detect you and your background, but using a green screen behind you can help it detect the background more easily.

A green screen can be useful if there are objects behind you that are a similar color as what you’re wearing, such as if you are wearing a white shirt and have a white wall behind you, or if you have brown hair and a brown window from right behind you of a similar color. Having a green screen behind you instead would help the background remover tool differentiate the background from you more clearly.
Can I change the background of a video?
